The action was carried out in the context of the program «Land Arts of the American West», Texas Tech University. United States of America. 

The action was carried out in the context of the Land Arts of the American West Program, Texas Tech University,  United States, wich is directed by Chris Taylor since 2008.

«The program, is a field experience in the southwestern USA, understood as a pedagogical agent that seeks to open horizons (…) regarding the understanding of human actions that shape the territory (…), which is developed in the context of a 10,000 kilometers overland journey, camping for two months in sites near the: Double Negative, Spiral Jetty, Sun Tunnels, The Lightning Field, (…) military-industrial infrastructure, nature and waste sites».

Twin Buttes is located in the vicinity of the White Sands Missile Range. The world’s first nuclear weapon test was conducted there in 1945. Today, it is still the main test range for US rockets, unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles.

The text written on the stones corresponds to: «Sometimes I heard bombs / and I thought / it was normal / then / I understood that it was not / normal / I do not remember when / I began / to build the history / of / which / was not / spoken / clearly / so / we / grew / many children in chile / two planes / bombed / the house / of government / the president was / to the president /killed / the / history / is built / of / frag / ments.” 

La acción fue realizada en el contexto del programa “Land Arts of the American West”, Universidad de Texas Tech. Estados Unidos de América. 

“El programa, es una experiencia de campo en el suroeste de EEUU, entendido como un agente pedagógico que busca abrir horizontes (…) respecto a la comprensión de las acciones humanas que dan forma al territorio (…), el cual se desarrolla en el contexto de un viaje por tierra de 10.000 kilómetros, acampando durante dos meses en sitios cercanos al: Double Negative, Spiral Jetty, Sun Tunnels, The Lightning Field, (…) infraestructura militar-industrial, sitios de naturaleza y de desechos”. 

Twin Buttes se ubica en las cercanías de White Sands Missile Range. En ese lugar, en el año 1945 fue realizada la primera prueba de un arma nuclear en el mundo. Actualmente, continúa siendo el principal campo de pruebas  de cohetes, vehículos aéreos no tripulados y misiles de EEUU.

El texto escrito en las piedras corresponde a: “A veces escuchaba bombas / y pensaba / que era normal / luego / entendí que no era / normal / no recuerdo cuando / comencé / a construir la historia / de la / que no / se hablaba / con claridad / así / crecimos / muchos niños en Chile / dos aviones / bombardearon / la casa / de gobierno / estaba el presidente / al presidente lo / mataron / la / historia / se construye / de / frag / men / tos.”
