Aeropuerto. New Mexico. E.E.U.U. 2016-2017

Video performance. Twin Buttes, New Mexico, United States. The site is located near White Sands Missile Range. In 1945, the first nuclear weapons test in the world was conducted in this area. Today, it remains the main testing ground in the United States for rockets, unmanned aerial vehicles, and missiles.
 

Collection of stones from the site, on which fragments of the artist’s childhood memories during the period of the civil-military dictatorship in Chile are inscribed:

The text written on the stones corresponds to: «Sometimes I heard bombs / and I thought / it was normal / then / I understood that it was not / normal / I do not remember when / I began / to build the history / of / which / was not / spoken / clearly / so / we / grew / many children in chile / two planes / bombed / the house / of government / the president was / to the president /killed / the / history / is built / of / frag / ments.” 

Afterwards, the stones were thrown in the same location.

Video performance. Twin Buttes, New Mexico.  El lugar se ubica en las cercanías de White Sands Missile Range. En ese lugar, en el año 1945 fue realizada la primera prueba de un arma nuclear en el mundo. Actualmente, continúa siendo el principal campo de pruebas  de cohetes, vehículos aéreos no tripulados y misiles de EEUU.

 

Recolección de piedras del lugar, sobre las cuales se inscriben fragmentos de recuerdos de infancia de la artista durante el período de la dictadura cívico-militar en Chile:

“A veces escuchaba bombas / y pensaba / que era normal / luego / entendí que no era / normal / no recuerdo cuando / comencé / a construir la historia / de la / que no / se hablaba / con claridad / así / crecimos / muchos niños en Chile / dos aviones / bombardearon / la casa / de gobierno / estaba el presidente / al presidente lo / mataron / la / historia / se construye / de / frag / men / tos.”

Tras ello, fueron lanzadas en el mismo lugar.
